fragile bagels are the worst
you’re not filled to burst
because they crumbled
and the rumblings created by the tumblings of organs excreting air
defeating all the stares
inventing new meals
oranges you can’t peel are the worst
next to hearses and kids who INSIST on being first at things

and safety is irrelevant
